Expertload is an on-demand freight marketplace engineered to bridge the communication gap between commercial freight shippers and truck carriers. Traditional spot-market freight dispatching relies on fragmented phone calls, delayed email quotes, and opaque broker pricing. Expertload digitizes the entire logistics lifecycle — from load posting and geo-proximity search to transparent reverse-auction bidding, real-time dispatch, and automated proof-of-delivery.
THE CHALLENGE
Freight brokers and shippers historically faced long delays negotiating truck rates over the phone, leading to missed delivery deadlines and costly broker fees. At the same time, motor carriers struggled with empty return-leg trips (deadhead miles) because they had no convenient tool to discover spot loads along their return routes.
LOOPCON'S ROLE & SOLUTION
Loopcon Technologies developed the complete Expertload web platform using Laravel, MySQL spatial capabilities, and real-time event broadcasting. Key capabilities include:
1. Intelligent Load Board & Geo-Search: Shippers publish freight requirements with pickup/destination coordinates, cargo dimensions, and equipment types (flatbed, reefer, dry van). Carriers discover nearby loads using radius and corridor filtering.
2. Real-Time Reverse Auction Bidding: Verified carriers submit competitive price quotes with live notifications and countdown timers, fostering transparent market pricing.
3. Digital Dispatch & BOL Capture: Mobile-ready workflow allowing drivers to confirm pickup, update transit status, and upload photographed proof-of-delivery documents on site.
4. Two-Way Verified Review & Rating System: Built-in trust scoring for shippers and carriers to maintain platform quality and accountability.
